A Quarter of a Year Old.

A few special facts about out little baguette:
He remains to be the biggest baby drooler I have ever met
A few of his nicknames includes: Punkin Butt, Gooby Goob, & Hooch
He just started grabbing for toys
Every dirty diaper contains at least one skiddy mark
I cannot keep his hands out of his mouth long enough to snap a decent picture
When hes feisty, being sang to calms him down 90% of the time
The biggest grin of the day happens the second he wakes up
Still hates car rides
Once he stands up it is quite the effort trying to get his legs to bend back to the sitting position
Fake coughs for attention
We finally cut his hair
(And I am sorry we did it)
Falls asleep best lying down by himself
(And I hate it)
He giggles out loud
(And I love it)
&
We couldn't adore this baby anymore then we do today.

Khaged Animal.

Don't mind me I am a digital scrap booking fool. Expect to see quite a few of these popping up throughout my blog. I waste many hours doing this and for once I do not demand my time back... I really must be enjoying this.

The Dialogue Between Parents

(THE SCENE: After Khage fills his pants and Jamee's nostrils catch the aroma, she runs outside to find Brad)

JAMEE: Brad you have to get a whiff of this guy.
(Brad smells Khage's feet)
JAMEE: No his butt.
BRAD: Uhhhh it smells like Arby's Sandwiches
JAMEE: Here hold him so I can get a good smell
(Brad grabs Khage and Jamee smells his diaper)
JAMEE: Sick! It totally does.
BRAD: (With a look of pure disappointment) I am never having Arby's again.

Two Months Young

Who told my little scoundrel he could grow up?

A few special facts about out little baguette:
he is almost thirteen pounds
often times he will soak yours, or his own shirt, because of his drooling
he has mastered getting both fists partially into his mouth at once
he smiles just like his Daddy
he teased me and slept through the night one time
he hates to be cradled like a baby
he and I are getting addicted to putting him to sleep with pacifiers
(above is in the process of being stopped)
he gets a real kick out of bouncing on my knees like a horsey
his favorite song that I sing is "Getting to Know You" from the King & I
he screamed, like I have never heard, after his 2 month shots
his feet always stink
everyone says his head also stinks
(I disagree)
his hair is getting so long that Daddy is itching to cut it
(I refuse to let him)
he is obsessed with sticking his tongue out of his mouth
(a habit that I hope he breaks before kindergarten)
&
we are so thankful we get to call him ours.

He Was No Match for Me.

Khage has been up to a great deal of smiling these days... weeks worth in fact, but the minute the camera comes out they miraculously disappear. Not today I tell you... in a moment of weakness he let one slip and I was right there to document the whole thing.
Better luck next time GoobyGoob.

Someone Hit the Pause Button

I should have listened to those old ladies when they told me little ones grow up so fast...

My baby boy is already

A few special little facts about our little baguette:
he is already eleven pounds
he has rolled over one time and one time only
after a lot of work he will finally smile at mommy
with no work at all he will just sit and smirk at daddy
he loves being sang to
after 8 minutes of stretching, he will finally be awake from a nap
he has a nasty little attitude from 7pm until he falls asleep
he hates car rides
he sweats like a little piglet
when upset he turns a fancy little shade of red
&
we are truly enjoying every moment with him
(even after 7pm)

Lets Break It In

For Christmas Mom and Dad got us a magnificent bicycle trailer for our little one and today was such a beautiful day we wanted to break it in. But then came the bad news... in an attempt at keeping this blog free of Negative Nancy I found a Good News as well, lets start there...

Good News: it can handle a weight capacity of 100 pounds for when our little guy starts to bulk up.
Bad News: the age limit for this little joy on wheels starts at age one year because of the lack of body support for younger children.

Was this going to hold us back, you ask???
Not when your husband can not only fix most things he breaks, lucky for me he can also customize most things to fit our lifestyle. Brads personal customization for this project included sticking Khage's car seat right into the trailer... and Wah-lah you have a newborn baby trekking it behind his bicycle riding mama.

NEWS FLASH...

I now have a baby!

(Please forgive me and my tardiness in regards to this post; I have never been one to be on time.)

When I finally sat down to write this post I almost didn’t, all because I am a few weeks late. Then I thought about the type of parent I would be if I didn’t announce the birth of my baby and how one day Khage would Google his mother and this blog would pop up and no where would he find any post about his birth. Could you imagine how potentially harmful that could be? That could compel him to one day stop celebrating Mothers Day, or it may cause him to dislike women so much he ends up never married with his closest friends being his seven cats.

Farfetched? Maybe… anyway here it goes:

I am so excited to be a Mother. Someone’s Mama. Khage’s Mommy, or his “Mutti” (in German if you must know). And I never knew I could love someone so much... even though he pees on me just about every other day.

But with this face how could you not?
